The Best Way Back to a Yes from a No

The last tip I shared was about the young woman who sent a thank you note to the person who interviewed her. As a result, it sealed the deal—and she got the BIG job. Why? Because the boss said, “I had never received one.”

And I then suggested you send a thank you note to  prospects with whom  you want to  do business with —thanking them for taking your call or meeting.

But what about those who, after you present the best way to help them get what they want, still say no?

Send them a thank you note, too—for saying no.

I’m disappointed that we’re unable to work together at this time.

However, I look forward to the opportunity to serve you in the future.

Please always feel welcome to reach out—I’m here for you.

Warm regards,

You will not only position yourself relationally, but you may also be surprised by how many prospects find their way back to a yes.

Remember, doing business today is about opening a relationship.
