We will soon be rounding the turn into the second half of the year. The business you work today likely won’t be fully on board till well into July. Thus as we approach mid-year ask yourself:

  1. Are you proactively bringing in new accounts?
  2. Are you cross-selling into existing accounts?
  3. Are you executing your 2011 Marketing Plan fully and effectively?
  4. Are you clearly confident that all that you wanted to achieve in 2011 will happen?

Assessing where you are and where you want to be is a vitally important ongoing process. If you feel you are not getting there fast enough consider why.

List out the goal, the obstacle and the steps you will take to move forward. Success does not come effortlessly or without conscious planning. It is not about being in the right place at the right time. It is about a plan, a process and self-discipline.
